The reason the words of Elihu are so rich for us, is that Elihu is speaking to a righteuos man, a godly man, a god-fearing man, just as each of us should be.  So Elihu has to go way beyond the superficial, or the milk of knowing Jesus Christ, he is cutting into the meat and nearly to the bone of being like Jesus Christ.  Elihu provides instruction for each of us from the perspective of both giving and receiving correction, remembering that God is our ultimnate judge.
