1 Corinthians is a very corrective letter by the Apostle Paul to our church family in Corinth where he is endeavoring to inspire them to respond to the Father’s calling, develop righteous character by overcoming sin, and grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ…, and Paul tries to reach them from the perspective of a loving father protecting his family. But because of egregious, un-repentant sin in 1 Corinthians 5, Paul had to take one the most humbling, impactful and direct steps that a minister has to take with regard to sin in the life of a member in the body of Jesus Christ-- dis-fellowshipping of a member.
