To fathom the reality that God, Elohim, Jehovah, the Word, Jesus Christ…as God…gave Himself as the sacrifice for mankind that we might have the chance and privilege, through that act of supreme ransom and grace, to be transformed from physical being to Spirit Being through our own death and resurrection…”from death to life”, is nearly incomprehensible. Therefore, the purpose or premise or goal of delving into the names of God is to intimately, emotionally, and intellectually enhance our love for God the Father, our love for God His Son our Savior Jesus Christ, and to be in utter awe that GOD gave His life as our sacrifice. It was not just the man Jesus Christ that was nailed to the tree, it was GOD Jesus Christ that laid down His life for us.
