With One Accord

As the disciples of Jesus Christ came to the Day of Pentecost, it is clear that before the Holy Spirit was placed INTO them, the Holy Spirit was already at work WITH them… working with their heart, and working with their mind to bring them to a place where God would work IN them. Acts 2:1 states, “When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all WITH ONE ACCORD in one place”

The phrase “with one accord” in the Greek is Homothymadon (Ho-Mo-Thee-Ma-Don’).  It means 1) Together, of the same mind or of one mind, 2) Of the same heart or soul, and 3) In unity, praying to God and glorifying God.

Let us examine these three concepts of With One Accord Homothymadon, and see what we can learn as we head toward the Feast of Pentecost!
